At the beginning of July, over 240 players from across Europe gathered in the Czech Republic to compete at the pool tables. The Pardubice Open tournament once again became a true festival of billiards. Traditionally, the tournament was always played in the 8-ball format. However, this year, for the first time, the rules were changed, and the main tournament in Pardubice was played in the 9-ball format.
Despite the change in format, last years defending champion fiercely fought for triumph once again. Formula B135 ambassador, Radosław Babica, made it to the finals after winning 8 matches. In the decisive match, he faced another Polish player, Hubert Łopotko, who has been in great shape recently. These two players had a very intense battle, which was decided in the final game. The final score was 7-6 in favor of Hubert Łopotko, who clinched his first victory in Pardubice. This time, Radosław Babica took the silver medal.
Calvin Washburn (Czech Republic) and Mikka Hirvonen (Finland) finished on third place.

In addition to the main tournament, several smaller events were also held in Pardubice. These events confirmed that Formula B135 ambassadors keen on silver colour. Radosław Babica, as in the main tournament, secured 2nd place in the warm-up tournament, which featured around 120 participants. In the doubles tournament, Arkadiusz Brzękowski, paired with Piotr Likowski, also reached the finals and won the silver medal. Both of these tournaments were finished around 4 a.m. They demanded significant physical and mental endurance from our players.
Congratulations!
